The Diamond C trailers use Hydrastar electric-over-hydraulic actuators which means the OEM brake controller on your 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 SHOULD work just fine with it. I say "should" because we've still seen times where newer GM trucks still require the Adapter Module # HBA-CAM even though for the most part it isn't needed.

Hey Fred, have you checked the fuse box yet? Since the vehicle is brand new you are likely just missing the fuse needed to activate the trailer brake control circuit. Your owners manual will specify the exact fuse location for the trailer brake control module but you will just need to check this location and make sure the appropriate fuse is inserted. Hey Scott, so the best EOH actuator is the Hydrastar brand which for a disc brake setup would be the # HBA16. The Hydrastar actuators are the most reliable and quickest reacting. There is a kit technically that we have which includes both the adapter and the brake controller, but since it's a multi-product in our system there isn't any way to link a single product. So you'd need to add the adapter # 3063-P and the brake controller # 90195 separately, unfortunately.

That is a great question Andy and I can understand your confusion as we do have the Technical Bulletin which I have linked near the bottom of the page next to the instructions. You will be able to connect the Curt Spectrum # C51170 to your 2010 Volkswagen Touareg using the Pigtail # C51522. You can install the Mighty Cord Trailer Connector Adapter # A10-7084VP and cap off the blue brake controller output wire with some electrical tape since the Prodigy RF will not be connecting to it. This system detects deceleration and activates the brakes accordingly and the remote gives you the ability to read errors and manually activate the brakes.
The yellow wire on the # A10-7084VP can also be capped off with some electrical tape unless you need a reverse light signal.... view full answer...
That's correct, Bill. After removing your old surge coupler and old brakes you will need to install the new brake assemblies with # 23-105 for the left hand side, and # 23-106 for the right side.
The magnets have 2 wire leads, one for ground, one for power. It doesn't matter which wire you use for which function, they are non-polarity specific.
